Thank you Jan for another week of your writing.I always read and comment though.I turned 80 in April I was scared because I know when we reach this age people get problems with health issues.I just live one day at a time and I surrender my life to Jesus.Everyday I thank Him for waking me up and ask him for strength each day.I still drive and continue my routine I am selling our business called Before and After School Care called Active Kids’ Zone.Hopefully I can close the deal this year and I am ready to rest and serve the Lord.I don’t know how but I attend Bible study,prayer meeting and sing in church.The whole family is heading to the Philippines for a family reunion in July .It is a 13 hours flight I pray for safe travel.I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren there .I need to see everyone before the inevitable time comes. Thank you again Jan for your blog I love reading it and commenting on it. I will be away July and August.Please pray for me. Weather in Alberta is good now no more snow.I am beginning to see green grass,trees and flowers blooming.The birds came back from the south.Thank you God for your creations.
Thanks for sharing & supporting me, Elisa! I love hearing about your life at 80. I'm only a few years behind you so I am encouraged by your spunk. Have a wonderful time with family this summer. My niece by marriage is from the Philippines. She came to school here, met my nephew and stayed after being required to go back for a year. Her name is Sunny & she is definitely a bright spot in our family. Take care! xoxo

I look forward to another year of looking at the humorous side of this phase of life we are in. We all need a laugh at LEAST once a week and you provide that. Here's to all the fun stories to come!
I was asked the other day what I thought about those (blank) people that live around here. I said, I don’t know. I haven’t met any of them yet. But what do you think in general about those (blank) people. I said I judge people on a one to one basis. I’ve made a lot of friends using that method. I learned it from my Dad. I recommend it.
I look forward to your blogs and often see my own reflection in your comically distorted image on aging. We're all in the same boat and even though it seems like we're taking on water, none of us are ready to stop bailing. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations for a year of wonderful accomplishment - and putting on M*A*S*H all the while! I appreciate your generosity with the Mental Health cause. Did you duck when the Chandelier "fell" in Phantom? Happy Anniversary. I look forward to all this year will bring! You have helped me change my attitude from It WILL be okay to it IS okay.
Ah, Patty -- thank you! I sat so close at one performance of Phantom once, the chandelier did swing over our row & we could feel heat from the flames. With Camelot last week, so many things happened before I even realized it. During the opening the floor was covered in white cloth to represent snow. Somehow all that white cloth disappeared with one flick -- like a magician with a table cloth. I love the technical part of theatre!!! xoxo
