Hi Elizabeth. Yes, the science in it is what fascinates me. There is a whole chapter on how our brains have been evolving over the last 100 years and how technology is influencing the brain. I used to do all my lesson plans keeping right & left brain dominance in mind. After reading Whole Brain Living, I realize there's much more to it.
Love this Jan so much . Great piece of writing and love all the photos that you have shared . I really like Dr Jill and her book and had lots of fun picking names for my four parts of the brain :)
Hi Irene ~ yes, picking the names really helps you understand yourself better, doesn't it? It's helped make me less critical of myself. I have done 2 online workshops with Dr. Jill and they both made things even clearer -- I love learning how our brain cells work. Glad you like her too. {{Hugs}}
Great article and the photos to go with the different parts of the brain are perfect. I named my four parts once before but I forgot what I named them, so I get to start over. Just goes to show that my left brain thinking isn't always as efficient as she'd like to be! Might take another run at this great book.
Like you haven't had enough to think about lately!!! We've both been using our left hemispheres a lot lately, but your walks in your woods has to be helpful. I definitely need to engage with Character 4. A little meditation would do me some good right about now. Ha! Take care! xoxo
Glad you love the descriptions of the 4 characters. I wrote a blog back in 2022 explaining #22. Here's the link. I hope it helps. It's definitely hard to describe this. Can you relate to this part of your right hemisphere? https://janstoneburner.substack.com/p/is-that-you-god
I read the book sometime ago, and then gave it to a friend. I have been doing that with my books, passing them forward. I had named my 4 characters when i read. The book, but i have forgotten them. Is that my silly side-forgetfulness?? Excellent blog today, thank you. Loved DR. Jill’s Ted talk. Thank you for the reminder of our four characters of her brain. Another great story Jan!! Hugs, my friend and blessings too!

I like all of your posts, but this one might be my favorite! 💜
Thanks for commenting. Interesting!!! I'll loan you the book some time if you want. Love ya' xoxo
This is a topic that I am passionate about and I am very curious to read about it, especially about neuroscience and its contribution to education.

Wow, love the synopsis of the four characters with photos. Tell me more about #22!
