Another great story Jan….. I got my first car has a wedding present from my husband, it was a second hand Hillman imp kept breaking down😩I think it was telling me something the marriage didn’t last 😂😘
Great story Jan. My first car was a red vauxhall nova. I can remember my dad saying that the cost of his first car was the same as the pram/car seat , travel system they brought for our son.
Jan, a great story..my first car was a 1968 Chevy Impala, soft blue. I think your husband would enjoy the “ Cruisin The Coast” classic car event that happens every October in the Biloxi MS area, last year there were 7,000 plus cars entered. It’s really a fun event, I have been several times
He sure would. There's a Cruise Night coming up here -- with about 700 cars. Unbelievable for a little town like ours, but people do love their cars. I bet that '68 Impala was beautiful. xoxo
Yeap - My first car was a two door 1970 Century Buick. It was royal blue with a white hard top with white leather interior. I had that car through my junior in college - 1980. There's a long story as to why I didn't have it my senior year, but i won't go into that now. I do remember it vividly. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, that sounds like a gorgeous car — blue & white. Some day I have to hear the rest of the story… 😀 Hope your trip is still going well, Anne. Be safe! {{Hugs}}
My first car was a Montego. My dad bought it for me. I hated it! I tried to be grateful for his generous gift. Except my father in all his great wisdom had no clue how to buy a used car, mine was the first. (He either bought new or leased through his business.)
We drove off the lot and the engine block dropped when I drove over a railroad track raised on a berm, three blocks down the street from the dealership.
The Montego was a a mechanic's dream :) Haha, I won't get into my learning how to drive! (Loved the images.)
Morning, Patti ~ I never had a car until I got married. I had to look up your Montego. The internet concurs -- it was poorly built. Ha! Good thing you weren't driving it on your recent trip! xoxo
Great story ,this brought back lots of memories . Our first new family car my husband and I bought together the first year we were married 34 years ago was a charcoal colour Ford Sierra !!!

I always wanted a red car. When I finally got one, I got my very first ticket! Ha! 😂 Our last car cost more than our first house. Crazy !
My first vehicle was a motorcycle when I was 13 years old and then a VW bug when I turned 18, both were gifts from my dad.
Wow! Did you love that motorcycle.
I loved it, but now I think it might be a bit of a dangerous gift.

It was a good car until my husband backed into a pole..and when we had kids a two door wasn’t the most convenient vehicle…
First car…1965 VW Bug…new $1200!
What color was it? I can imagine you driving around in a cute little car! 😊
I was called Sea Blue……..almost a dark teal color. ♥️

That brought back memories - Dan's first car was a Willys Americar. But our first car was a '55 Chevy and my favorite was the 57 Chevy.
