A sweet tribute to treasured friends. I have some older friends I consider to be the nicest people I have ever met. I hope the next generation receives great memories from the likes of us.
Great story. I have had some "older" ladies in my Bible study classes who are some of the best people I know. One in particular, who is in her late 80s now, is one of the most vibrant, joyful people I have ever met. She inspires me to keep a sunny outlook and keep living life to the fullest. Hopefully we can do the same for those "younger" women we encounter!
I often think of that, Cathey, when I'm at church. When I was a young woman, there were older ladies who loved on me there no matter what I did. No judgment just pure love. What a wonderful gift they gave me. xoxo
Lovely tribute to “older” women....I just had a visit from my 86 year old neighbor who just got back from her water aerobics class..Naomi inspires me, she is so full of life, enjoys being with people. My Aunt Helen lived to be 101, she inspired me, lived in her own home until she was 99, then said “ this winter I’m going to move to the senior facility down the street”...on her 100 birthday she was toasting champagne and telling stories!
What a great flood of memories reading that list of ladies! I can still see them around the big scoreboard at Hickory checking out the results of the Ladies Classic! Thanks for posting.
Those were the best days!!! One time Jo Rossel made me practice so much I got blisters on my hands. We won, but I spent so much money practicing I went in the hole. ha ha! The glory days of the Elks Classic are LONG gone. Kinda sad, but good memories. xoxo
Wonderful tribute to Helen and all the other golf ladies, thanks for sharing Jan. I think I would like to emulate my mums mum who had a terrific sense of humour and a wicked giggle to go with it😂. xoxo❤️
What a wonderful tribute to these women who were a treasured part of our lives. Thanks Jan, it’s so good to think of all they did to make our lives meaningful.
Jan it’s so neat to relive those memories. I’ve always admired my mom and my sister. My mom has always given me advice when ever needed or not needed😂 my sister is funny smart and very creative. She’s a little bit wild I’m more reserved. I couldn’t imagine them not in my life. Thank you always love reading your stories
What a great tribute you have written about a great lady. My mom was my inspiration . She was always positive always a smile, never talked about another person. She would always advice me on things I would go to for advice SHE WOULD ALWAYS SAY PRAY ABOUT IT FIRST. Good advice then and in this day Prayer is the best answer. Thanks for sharing . Blessings.

Hi Debbie ~ I'm trying to live up to their standards, but it's sure hard. What a classy group! xoxo

Great Memory of Helen! Lots of great women on that list especially my old neighbor Ann Kirshner.
Thanks, Melanie! So many wonderful women. Ann has always carried herself with such grace. I think she's at West Brook. xoxo
