Hi Juliann ~ I thought of you the whole time I was putting together this post -- how you saw the real Italy, not the "touristy" one I saw. I loved our trip, but know there's so much more to Italy. I kept wishing I could be there without the crowds. ha ha!

We loved Italy. While in Sorrento, we heard Andre Boccelli singing from a private party in the hills above our hotel! It was awesome. Loved the Lemoncello tastings that were offered in that quaint city too. There isn’t a city in Italy that isn’t wonderful! We love to travel, even more so now that we are retired.

You are so lucky, Debbie, that your husband loves to travel. Mine wants to watch TV. Grrrr! OMG if I had heard Boccelli sing there, I wouldn't have left. ha ha! The guide did point out a villa along the coast where one of my classmates (Sydne Rome) made a movie with Roman Polanski back in the 70's.
