What a great job you did combining the photos and the history of the places you visited. I can’t wait to see what you will be sharing with us from the beautiful islands Mykonos and Santorini !!💜
Thanks, Irene ~ it was so hard paring it down. I had to leave so many wonderful pictures & places out. Looking forward to sharing island pictures. I definitely see why you love your homeland. xoxo
Oh, Janice, I so hope you get to go. There was a lot of walking & climbing steps -- I wish I had "trained" more. Ha! More pics to come of the islands. It was certainly a wonderful experience. xoxo
I completely understand the ‘adventure’ of getting to Greece. We are looking to go to Crete next year and flights from the US are challenging! Gate1 Travel seem to have done an excellent for you and the first segment of your travel seems jam packed with amazing sights. Looking at some of the photos I get the feeling of hushed awe. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for letting me know about Crete Jan. We are going to a wedding in August. We have been to Greece and visited Athens and obviously the Acropolis but it was in 1974 so I’m sure a lot has changed.
There was lots of history in the stories we had to translate. In fact the final Jeopardy answer last night was related, the answer was the Golden Fleece and surprisingly I remembered it.
Wow! Clicked on the pics to enlarge, WOW! So beautiful and so interesting, the history. You asked if anyone else is into the history of other places, well, I would say I am more so in my getting older years. Pretty darn cool that you ladies took this amazing trip. Very happy for you all. Look forward to part II.
XO PS...I probably would have told the stewardess that I was going to Greece too ;)
Brenda -- I was so embarrassed -- but excited. Glad you liked the pictures. The ones of the island are beautiful. I do have jet lag -- or something now though. I fall asleep every time I sit down. z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z
Wow - what a trip. Love the photos of all the amazing historical sites. Thanks for bringing me along on your tour recap! Look forward to the next segment.
Thank you!!! I knew I loved standing in front of famous paintings imagining the artist doing his work, but walking where the ancient Greeks walked was pretty mind blowing. Looking forward to sharing island pictures next week. xoxo
Thanks, Tricia ~ I'm looking forward to Part II also. Part III is pictures of our wonderful tour guide & group plus different things in Greek culture. I hope you enjoy those too. {{Hugs}}

Oh, Rita ~ I love your description of the first part of my trip -- "hushed awe" xoxo Many people on our tour had been to Crete & loved it.

Your captions are appreciated explaining each location!
I'm glad they helped. There's so much to learn. It is an amazing country...
Takes me back to the things I studied and learned in Latin I and Latin II. Beautiful photos!
Yes, you are right, Diane! I didn't think of that. That's where I learned my basic knowledge about Ancient Greece & Rome too. xoxo

My pleasure! And thank you for taking me with you to Canada. It is really beautiful there. And, of course, I LOVED the GW and Amber pics. xoxo
Jan this is wonderful combining history, a tour of the sites, architecture and a feeling of freedom in your writing. Thank you.
