I’m right there with you everything mentioned above, I cry just looking at my grandkids that I am privileged to be here and watch them grow.

Yes, Lucy ~ we are definitely lucky to have grandchildren. My older one is 26 -- lives in California. She just calls to chat every couple of weeks. That really touches my heart.

Oh my goodness, I am laughing and tearing up at the same time reading this fabulous writing! So funny and I can completely relate. I think the commercials right now that are getting me every time are the darn Publix ones. I cry every time they are on. And don’t even start with the Hallmark movies. my daughter comes home from college today for a month and I will cry and laugh many times. I am sure all at the same time! To me, crying is release and it’s an embracing of your vulnerability...so, cry all you want! Merry merry Christmas! 🥲😀🎄❤️

I must be pretty vulnerable in my old age then, Tricia! I definitely didn't believe in letting anyone see "me sweat" when I was younger. Explains a lot. Ha! Happy Holidays! It's always great to have those college kids home. xoxo

Good morning Jan Happy tears is okay it means we have accomplished something.I cried when my daughter graduated in College.I cried when she was marching down the aisle as a bride.Same thing when my sons and daughters graduated in college I cried. Those are tears of joy. That means you have accomplished something as a parent. When my children were going to college (five of them) I struggled and worked hard to send them to school.I lost my husband at the age of 44 due to cancer. All my children finished college and now they have their own lives and good jobs.I am all alone ,my children are away from me. Thanks to technology I can talk to them through messenger, viber or Skype.I still cry during my birthday,Mother’s Day, and Christmas.I miss my children when they were growing up.We we’re still together and tucked them to bed.Happy tears is okay.It is fulfillment and accomplishment.

Good morning Jan! Honestly, while sitting in church, the pastor starts to pray and I feel my youngest granddaughter reach over and gently hold my hand. Priceless!

OMG! That video was so funny! Different things touch me now and more than when I was younger. All i know is I have a much more dominant sense of humor since I retired. Thanks for the laugh!

Hey, Debbie ~ I love that video. When she jumps on him & when she says, "I came in too hot!" I laugh out loud. Yes, I wish I had the humor I have now back in the day when I was raising my kids. I was always trying to make them do what was right. No fun!

I've always had a sentimental side but as I age, I get that lump in my throat and watery eyes more than ever. Maybe since I've lived longer I've had more experiences that allow me to empthasize more strongly? I don't know, but I wish I could get through those Budweiser commercials without needing a Kleenex!

OMG Cathey ~ those Budweiser commercials are some of my favorites, especially the little puppy that kept running away & the horse that recognized his old trainer at the parade. xoxo

I’m a sap when it comes to watching anything that has a good ending. It to cried at my kid’s graduation. Even before the walked down the aisle and pop and circumstance played. And so glad my son graduated LOL. Or when my grand daughter was born which were happy tears. I’ve laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my face. It’s good for all of us to do this from time to time. I watched the video I loved it when I first saw it and now remembering how silly it was. Thanks Jan for the laughs .

Hi Shari -- I didn't cry at my own daughters' graduations, but I did at my granddaughters'. I have lots of happy tears these days. Glad the video gave you a laugh. I always burst out laughing when she jumps into his arms (kinda) and they hit that table. Have a good day! xoxo

Those mushy Publix Christmas commercials.....sometimes a country song will get me going.....but here lately it's been when I think of what kind of world my gkids have to grow up in 😭😢😭😢

Bonnie ~ how about those abandoned dog commercials??? I just can't watch those. Toby Keith's American Soldier makes me cry all the time. Have you heard the new country song "Til You Can't"? That's definitely a tear jerker. Well, have a great holiday season -- tears & all! xoxo PS Is it ok I"m sharing these on your Upper Sandusky Memory page?

Everything you mention in your writing pretty much checks all my boxes as well. I am pretty much an easy cry baby about things that tug at my heart strings which are many! Crying is good for the soul!

Loved it Jan. I find that I am getting more sensitive as I age. Most movies I watch cause me to ugly cry....if you know what I mean. I have to walk away at times to get a hold of myself. I have decided that there is nothing wrong with tears. It just means our hearts have gotten so big and God gave us these tears as a way to release some of ourselves.
