Congratulations! Even though we don't have children, watching the passage of time through the lives of our nieces and nephews and their children is quite the adventure. And I like to tease my sisters (from a safe distance so they can't punch my arm) ... "I'm way too young to have sisters in their 70s "
Thanks, Lynn! Did you see that MIsty & I are going to Chicago to see the musical A Beautiful Noise to celebrate? It's the life story of Neil Diamond. I can't wait to sing "Sweet Caroline" with the rest of the audience. You are right we must savor each moment. {{Hugs}}
That's Great! My daughter,her husband and I will be going to Ohio for Thanksgiving! Since her father died she is my rock! I thank God for her every day!
It's kind of surreal, Patti ~ I don't know where the time went. We're celebrating in Chicago later this month. Going to see A Beautiful Noise -- the musical about Neil Diamond's life.
How fun! I love Neil Diamond. The time. Yes, it goes quickly. Enjoy every single moment, that's my new motto. It's hard sometimes, I get distracted. But then, all of a sudden I look up and three hours goes by, and I don't know where the time disappeared to - it's a stark reminder that I'm not paying close attention :)
No, darn it. And I never saw him backstage, either. :) I did kibitz with Barry Manilow and Bill Cosby between shows in the hallway... but I didn't like either of them, darn it to that too, haha. :) XX
Pretty cool, isn't it, Lucille? We're going to celebrate in Chicago by going to see the Neil Diamond story called A Beautiful Noise. I'm hoping to spend more time with her now even though she lives 2 hours away.
Jan, she looks so much like you! How proud I know you and your husband are of your daughter. She sounds amazing and no doubt is much like her Mother ❤️🥰
Your beautiful brown haired girl has shared her love of music and impacted many lives during her 35 years in education! I know you are very proud of her as she embarks on the next chapter of her life! I agree, how are we old enough to have children who are retiring!!! ❤️

Lucille ~ where in Ohio do you celebrate Thanksgiving?
Hi Jan! My family is sprawled out in Ohio from Cleveland to Cincinnati! This trip I'll be in the Akron, Moreland Hills and Newbury Areas!
What a beautiful tribute! And you brought back some great memories of my similar piano lessons.
Thank you! I wish I had taken my lessons more seriously. I can hardly play. Thank heavens my daughter and granddaughter can entertain me. xoxo
Happy for you!!! Congratulations, Jan!!

Patti --it just struck me you may have met Neil DIamond in Vegas. Was he ever at your table?
No, darn it. And I never saw him backstage, either. :) I did kibitz with Barry Manilow and Bill Cosby between shows in the hallway... but I didn't like either of them, darn it to that too, haha. :) XX
I definitely get you on that. I think "Distracted" must be my middle name. Ha! {{Hugs}}
Congrats Jan! I know the feeling!
