Jan, I wouldn't change anything. Let God speak to you in what you share. I agree with Irene & Shari below. God has given each of us a gift in what to share, when, and how. I love reading your stories, etc. Take care and God bless!
Thanks so much for the recommendation! We writers need all the support we can get. I love your blog just as it is. Any time of day or day of week is great because I get the email that you've posted so I can open it when it works for me. Your lighthearted writing style is a breath of fresh air! I like the changes you've made - the colors give an extra pop. Keep on keeping on, my friend!
Cathey ~ someone I know who publishes a golf magazine asked me to submit my last entry about golfing with my friend Barb. I did since he said he would promote by blog. I almost fainted when he sent me his "few revisions." He all but rewrote it with more formal language & complex sentences. It wasn't my voice at all! And no respectable English teacher would let someone print an article with her byline -- that was full of comma errors. ha ha! Needless to say, I replied, "Forget it!" Think I better just stick to Substack.
Good for you. If you are like me, you write for the pure joy of it. I decided early on that I wouldn't seek monetary gain or give my heart away to the publishing world. That's pressure I don't need in this stage of my life.
Hi Jan, it’s Barb, you shouldn’t change a thing! Reading your blogs hit home a lot for myself , there interesting, funny and honest! So keep up the blogs!!!!
Jan, whatever comes from your heart is worth it for me to read. I find everything you write very relatable. I actually look forward to your posts! Much love ❤️
Jan...I always look forward to your writings. I echo the previous comments that I wouldn’t change a thing. I don’t believe it’s broken and you know what they say...if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Please keep on making us laugh, smile, reflect, ponder....
Hi Cindy ~ oh yes, I've played a lot of golf in your area. My parents used to live on #16 at Lost Creek. I will definitely get a hold of you sometime; I'd love to get together. Thanks for reading my blog. xoxo
I wouldn’t change a thing. I think your writings are informative and somewhat whimsical. It doesn’t matter what time you write/post them, I get them regardless. I truly enjoy your posts!
Jan, Thank you so much for the shout out. -I am so appreciative. I agree with others - the light-heartedness in your articles is special, and I look forward to reading them - just as they are.
I love everything you have written and wouldn’t change anything. God has given you a beautiful gift. Between you and Cathey and Anne I am slowly learning how to compose my writing. Lots of work to do yet .🙏❤️
Jan, I thoroughly enjoy your entries . They are so light and refreshing as well as enjoyable . It is working for you and your followers so there is really nothing to change! Thank you for the work that you do. It truly brightens my day when I read your written work!
I’m not techie, but for some reason I sometimes have trouble replying because it sometimes wants me to sign in and I am so sick of passwords… But I love the blog. Perfect length. Love the quotes at the end. Everyday life stuff is fun to read. Reminds us we are all human. Not everyone’s lives are picture perfect like their photos on FB would lead us to believe. Dysfunctional families are more plentiful than not. At least that’s what I’m counting on. Thanks for taking your time to entertain us. 😘
Thanks so much for reading my blog! I have trouble with Substack myself sometimes??? We all belong to a dysfunctional world -- so it's all about making the best of it. xoxo
I signed up a short time ago and I love your writing, don't change anything, it's great for me.
As for the periodicity of publications, it would be good to have a frequency and a specific day to publish (I don't know if this is already established).
Hi Angela ~ thanks for signing up for my blog. I do post once a week, but haven't established the best day for increased readership just yet. Thanks for your suggestions. xoxo

Thanks, Anne ~ I'm trying to listen to Him. xoxo
