New here but love your writings. I have taken Vitamin D for years and my last Bone density was excellent. Dr said I had the bones of a teenager. Well at 75 I sure don't feel like a teenager. As for muscle strength I think it is doing OK for my age.
Happy to have you, Teresa!!! Glad to hear about your bone density. I have the start of osteoporosis in my hips so I'm walking a lot. They say one of the best ways you can prevent a break is building up the muscles around your hips. Fingers crossed! I have a lot of places still to go... PS Here's to being 75 like me! Those teenage years weren't that great. Ha Ha! Cheers!
I can so relate, I too re-arranged the furniture routinely, now not so much. But I do still climb a ladder and paint the walls, but I think when this round of painting is finished, it will be staying this way for a long time to come. My body need the rest so I can still play
Too funny! I laughed about getting your arm stuck behind the sofa because it happened to me!
By the time I yanked it out, I had rug burns up and down my arm. Ouch! I have noticed a definite loss of muscle strength after turning 60. Maybe that's why my doctor has prescribed Vitamin D. I was going to pass on that, but now I had better buy the vitamins. Above all, as my grandmother used to tell me, laughter is the best medicine.
My arm was bruised by the time I got it out. Almost panicked, but told myself my husband would be home within the hour...and It Would Be Ok. If I got it in there, it had to come out. Right? Ha Ha!
I get it. I still see myself at 20,30 years old not 56. I still think I can still be that person who did all the sports it grade school and high school and play football with my family before Thanksgiving dinner. I think now how I would feel doing that today. I laugh and say to myself I probably would need a walker after playing. I have to take care of myself for my family and my granddaughter. I want to be around for a long time. My husband and I joined a FIT class in January and I’ve lost weight and take my vitamins and of course I do my best to eat right. Though that’s not all we do need to laugh because if we don’t it’s not living we are only existing and that’s no life. So live each day to the fullest. Do what you can to stay healthy and be happy.

Next time I will try some WD-40.
