Tennis, walking, and hiking are my go to’s! But some days all I get in is throwing the ball to my dog! 🤣❤️

Oh, Tricia ~ I love it that you play tennis. I tried it back when I was young & still couldn't run fast enough to hit the ball. Almost killed myself recently trying to play badminton. I golf ~ you don't have to move as fast. Ha!

So funny Jan! I love to dance, but I have two left feet...so I ride my bike and walk 8 km a day, I love to do it listening to my favorite music. 🏃‍♀️

Same here! It's probably why the deliveryman was laughing. Ha!

Oh yeah, Lucy ~ you've got to watch out for that Slip & Slide move. It can be treacherous! Ha ha!

If you would be willing to recreate that dance sequence and give us a week to advertise, we could probably fill every seat at The Star Theatre.

OMG now that's funny!!! I am directing M*A*S*H in February up there as a Benefit for Hannah's House, The Star Players & a suicide prevention group at Middle School called Hope Squad. See you there! xoxo

I exercise daily, but nothing as fun as that.

Hi Janice ~ I get bored so easily -- I have to find a way to entertain myself. At least I wasn't pretending to sing into my hairbrush at the time. Ha Ha!

Hi, I, too, get bored easily - especially when exercise is concerned. Would love to have seen that picture - dancing and singing into the hairbrush. LOL.

I couldn’t help but laugh, smile at you being watched by the delivery person. I would of die to Jan. How wonderful it feels to dance and be free. Hope you continue to dance. Dance is the best medicine for true happiness.

Hi Shari ~ Yes, I love to dance, but I'm not that good at it -- as you can tell. Maybe I'll just keep my dancing inside after this. Ha Ha!

Funny stuff! Lol. I thought I saw your hair flopping around behind your fence…🤣 I love dancing to great old rock. I don’t get the chance often, other than that it’s my golden doodle that keeps me walking. 🐕

Well, let's have a dance party the next time I get my hair done. I'll be the music & punch. Ha Ha!

OMG! Jan, that is so funny! I recognized all those dances too. Dancing is so easy, but one can look like a fool. But who cares? It feels awesome, especially with great songs. Thanks for the smiles. Loved it. 😊

Thanks, Debbie ~ I think that delivery guy was probably only 25 years old. Probably never saw The Mash Potato before. ha ha!

This is so funny...and exactly what would happen to me if I decided to dance outside. I'm a walker/hiker but in winter I have to resort to elliptical and recumbant bike in my basement. Maybe I'll try dancing down there.....I could hone my skills for Graham's zoom dance challenges. Thanks for the smiles, Jan!

Thanks, Cathey ~ I'm thinking I should take your advice & LISTEN instead. Ha Ha! xoxo

How can anyone not move to Flashdance, Dirty Dancing and ABBA songs? Love it!!! ♥️

Expand full comment

Yes!!! My favorite scene in a dance movie is when that water splashes down on Alex in FlashDance. My ringtone on my cell phone is Dancing Queen. Usually takes me a while to answer the phone. ha ha!

I think I’ve said this before. My mom loved to dance. When she died all I heard was how everyone loved to watch her dance. Her nickname was “Queenie” for Isabelle. The last song I played for her in church was “Dancing Queen”. I know she was smiling!!

OMG that is awesome! I bet your mom was really doing all her dance moves in heaven when you played that. xoxo
