Great piece of writing Cathey and Jan . I always enjoy reading your blogs ladies, you always do an amazing job!!

I believe so much that when you see a cardinal it means that someone you love is watching over you. When my mum passed away there was always one cardinal in my garden, I just felt that it was my mum watching over me . I had never seen a cardinal before that.🙏♥️

Morning, Irene! I bet that Cardinal held some essence of your mom. At least it made you think of her. And to think you had never seen one before!?!? Had to be your mum. xoxo

Thanks for sharing your get together with Cathey. You both have such stories to tell. I was surprised when Cathey and Irene said they never saw a Cardinal. I, too, did not know they were not in the Pacific Northwest and other areas of the world. My mother loved Cardinals and I do believe they come to visit us when we need them or least expect it. Someone is always watching out for us!!!

Hi Lynn -- I learned a big "Don't Assume" lesson when I was visiting London with students years ago. We asked the military museum guide why there wasn't a bigger display of the American Revolution; and he said very matter-of-factly, "Oh, that was your war." Ha! If you ever come to the US, please come to Ohio -- I'd love to meet you & show you a cardinal. xoxo

Hi Robin! Looking forward to checking out your blog this afternoon. Have to head out to bridge club pretty soon. You know how hard this retirement gig is. ha ha! My blog is about aging too, but it's just lighthearted stories from my life with bits of research thrown in here & there. I haven't tuned in yet to Notes. Will have to look into that too! Thanks so much for commenting! xoxo

Jan, love the cute cardinal story in the beginning of your blog. I have enjoyed reading your stories from your first entry. The golf story was so fun. You have a great sense of humor and I enjoy the spin you put on life’s events. I also subscribe to Catheys Substack page, her writing inspires me and I also love her take on life’s stories. Jan, first, thank you......Teary and LOL at the same time. What wonderful memories for so many people! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing the "Cardinal/Mikie n Bev" stories. I was reading your blog to EB and he totally laughed out loud in recalling these crazy/fun Cardinal Coaches sneak plays and other shenanigans!! (His son played for Dad) I love that you and Stoney share and remember our parents in your conversations together......AND I am elated for Cathey to final have the absolute pleasure of seeing our beautiful state bird, Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal!!! Another wonderful read!! XO

Yes, Cathey & I have been mulling this around for a LONG time; matter-of-fact -- much longer than you and I -- that's why I didn't have more time yet to develop the ideas we've been kicking around. Hopefully, we can collaborate in the future. I'm not sure what you mean about focusing more on Time Has Come Founders, but best of luck. You definitely have a lot to offer. xoxo

Jan....this is a fantastic coming together of great minds and two that seem to think a lot alike. Between my chat with Cathey and the wonderful meeting & lunch you and I had....I saw something in the way you two beamed talking about this collaboration that Good to Know and Footnotes from the Flipside readers were in for something special! And, our treat didn’t disappoint!!

Oh yes, that is what keeps my hope alive and my faith strong! I believe God sends good people and other things to reinforce His love and bring positive messages to us . I believe we have angels all around us as well to guide and protect us. have had too many unexplained experiences to doubt that! I am so blessed by God’s love even in times of peril . 😇
