Glad you enjoyed Blake even if he is a "youngster" - haha! Now that I hit medicare age my kids are wanting to spend more time with us like they think we might not be here much longer. They could be right I guess! I see obligation differently. I don't feel obligated to do some things I used to feel I had to do. Now I hear myself saying, "I'm old, I don't have to do that if I don't want to." 😂

Good Morning! Oh my, the ole time line of life! I am understanding more and more what Mom was saying to us about changes as we age. Boy, was she spot on!! Aches and pains, forgetfulness, weaker (opening a darn jar or wonderful bottle of wine! ) and the big one for this gal, Quoting Mom, "the saggy baggy skin!!" There are a few others I won't write about, HA!! I tell my girls, enjoy your youth, REALLY, enjoy your youth. All that said, I am grateful for my health, quit smoking 6 years ago, every day. Thank you for your post Jan, enjoyed, as always .

Hi Jan ! ❤️. Since I quite literally am having problems seeing righr now due to cataracts, and allergies, I guess you could say I'm getting old! Hmm, I also can relate to the saggy baggy skin, and don't get me started on the skin tags marching up andown my neck and body.

Just love reading your blog Jan I can relate to everything you say.Agree with Brenda about understanding more about what my mum use to say about getting old.One of the things she used too say was “ I’m pleased I’m on my way out “ I used to get annoyed with her when she said that 😩Thanks for making me smile 😊 needed it ❤️

The way I see it the older I get, the better I am at trivia games.

Well, I am 75, and I see a lot of things different now that I’m mature er, and I remember where I was when Kennedy was shot. I was sitting in her high school class. And I grew up on a farm back in the late 50s and 60s. My adult grandchildren are now in their 20s and 30s and are all married except for two. And they say and do things so differently than what I did when I was that age but I love their energy and I love spending time with them, and they must enjoy spending time with me., Because when they’re around me, they’ll take me anywhere and everywhere they go. And now that I’m getting older, they want to know what it was like way back when. Really good story and I enjoyed it. And I too had it with my coffee and Before my meditation. Thank you for making us think this morning. Blessings to you……

I am laughing to myself. One year around November 22 a group of us were at work talking about JFK. I asked the question “Where were you when Kennedy got shot”. Someone answered “I wasn’t even born”. Reality slapped me in the face. Now I see freedom of self and am not restless to get up and save the world in a hurry. I respect nature, I cherish family and friends, I like that I can speak my mind without caring what others think, I like the 50’s and 60’s when people cared about life and others. I like that I wake up everyday and hear the birds and see the flowers blooming once more after a long winter.

Just loved this. Drank my coffee and giggled. Likely, because it hit so close to home. Wow, life certainly flies by! We have to embrace each day!

I love the way your writing has a way of making me laugh out loud and then I have to explain to my husband! This tickled us both. Thanks for sharing Jan. I’m a bit late in congratulating you on your successful Mash production and all your hard work. Been a little pre-occupied with moving into a new house in MA. Still a work in progress!🙏🏻❤️

My years of participating in volunteer programs at a women's prison turned me around on several fronts. "There, for the Grace of God, is one." The cruelty of Reagan's policies that so greatly increased the number of homeless is another. The most significant was an awareness of the mamouth amount of sexual abuse on women.
