I loved that song, and love your stories. I have 2 sons. My oldest born in Tulsa, OK with out either of our parents near by, I was clueless as well. My youngest born in old Tiffin Mercy as well, I thought something tragic had happened when I woke to a nun standing, praying over me, didn’t realize it was a Catholic Hospital. 🤪😳👶🏼

My son was born almost exactly one year later-11/8/68. Although I gave him up for adoption, he located me when he was 37. I’ve been blessed to be a part of his adult life and have totally embraced him, his wife, my 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. My other son is 38. Totally different, but both are wonderful men. I loved every moment I have had as a mom. No greater blessing! Your trio did a great job. You must be so proud of them all. Happy birthday to Misty!

OMG Debbie ~ how awesome he found you. Those were difficult times in the late 60's. It's amazing how different our kids can be. My two girls are too. Thanks for listening to "Just Breathe." If only I could master that. Still trying to meditate more. xoxo

I' m looking forward to seeing pictures of your son's wedding, Elizabeth. You must be so excited. Glad you enjoyed the video. I love that song. Remember how Ty told Luke to Just Breathe in Heartland? Controlled breathing -- the answer to a lot of challenges. Have a good week! xoxo

I’ve loved and learned from every joy & every heartache. Each day, I’m enjoying each one’s uniqueness. The blessings have been endless!

Oh I am just giggling that you started to sing Star Soangled Banner! Birthing stories always have hopefully some fun giggly memories and a beautiful blessing in the end! I know not everybody’s ends that way and my heart aches for those who have experienced such loss and pain. Thanks for sharing your story!. ❤️

Oh, Tricia ~ you are right. Not everyone is so lucky. I've relearned that often from writing this blog. I know you see it every day. I also share my blog on FB & get a lot of comments there from local people I know. Some times people point out their lives aren't so funny. I hope my responses to them are kind enough. Glad that my singing of the Star Spangle Banner made you giggle -- because it was hilarious. xoxo

Jan, I was 25 when I had our daughter, had no idea about labor/ delivery. Woke up early morning in labor, as we were driving to hospital my husband had to stop to place an order for soda, I’m in the car going what the heck, by noon she was born. I didn’t know anything about newborn babies, fortunately there was a visiting nurse service that came couple times a week for the first month. Two years later our son was born, I knew a bit more by then, he was not a sleeper, always hungry. Anyway being a mom has been one of life’s blessing, and now being a grandmother is the best!

Ha Ha! Our husbands sound a lot alike, Linda. I didn't know a thing either. We are both blessed in so many ways. Thanks for joining in the discussion. xoxo

Hi Jan, thank you for sharing. I was a mom at 28 and my second at 32. I wouldn’t change a thing. Now my daughter has a daughter and we can’t get enough of her. Thank you for sharing.

Jan the video of your family singing was wonderful ❤️I have 4 boys. My last one is 20 and in his 3rd year of college. It was a very hectic household but I loved it. I use to call it organized Chaos. I’m alone now and really miss my boys. The two things I miss most is reading to them at night and watching them play sports. I’m waiting for the day to become a grandma.

Thanks, Cheryl -- I tell her she got her music ability because I sang to her on the way to the hospital. Kinda! ha ha! I would have loved to have had some sons. I got to experience my girls' boyfriends playing sports, but I bet it's not the same. You will love being a grandma someday. My granddaughters lived 2 hours away when they were growing up so I'd record myself reading books to them & send them in the mail. Today you'll be able to do it on FaceTime or Zoom. Thanks for reading my blog. Have a good week! xoxo

Mine too, Janice! My granddaughters are 26 & 23. I learn so much from them. By the way, loved your entry about your different cars. Around here a lot of older people have golf carts. Seems funny for farm country, but I'm keeping it as an option in the back of my head.

Hi, I 'm glad you enjoyed the car story. A golf cart might be a good option.
