You're Never Too Old

I’m finally going to Greece.  Yay! We’re flying out of Columbus, Ohio  today at 2:45 pm, arriving in Athens, Greece at 2:45 pm – that’s tomorrow, I think???   But don’t trust me.  My daughter had to tell me to take the blue cellophane off the two metal prongs when I couldn’t get my new wireless earbuds charged.

I won’t be writing a blog for several weeks because I’ll be traveling, but I am  hoping to send you photographs of our adventures via  Substack, Facebook or Instagram.  Well, I wouldn’t count on that either since my daughter pointed out I had the wrong international charger for my new iPhone.  Oh boy!

I do want to thank you for supporting  my blog and my new paperback book.  I started with a big dream — sharing lighthearted stories about aging so people might look at life through a humorous lens — even when times were rough.  I am really grateful for the 400 wonderful subscribers I have. The blog is averaging 600 readers each week. I sure hope we keep growing…

Launching my paperback book on Amazon last week has really been fun for me.  The responses have been awesome.  Hearing from people sitting on their back decks with copies of my book has definitely been heart-warming. I’m excited that I will be able to donate a portions of the sales to Hannah’s House, one of my favorite non-profits for children.  If you haven’t ordered your copy  yet, all you have to do is go to Amazon and insert my name in the SEARCH box.  Please, leave a review if there’s a space. By the way, using the Kindle Direct Publishing format on Amazon was amazing.  It gave me a template to use with a free ISBN number.  Unbelievably, you don’t have to invest any money until you sell a book,  and then Amazon takes a royalty fee.  You can find a lot of information about KDP on the internet if you are interested in self-publishing.

I hope to write some fun stories about our trip to Greece when I get home.  But don’t hold your breath – if I lose my daughter’s  Beats  Wireless, Noise Cancelling, Over-the-Ear Headphones I decided to borrow, I’ll have to go back to work. Ha! Pray for me…
